Gilbert has worked in wine throughout his career, for a long time in France and Italy, and briefly in South Africa. He holds the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 4 Diploma, and is also an Approved Rhone Wine Educator, a member of the Association of Wine Educators, the Circle of Wine Writers, and a judge on the International Wine Challenge.

 

Since returning to England, Gilbert spends his time educating people on wine. With his relaxed, humorous style, he makes wine accessible and enjoyable. His main goal is to pull down the barriers to the traditional wine world, and share his passion and knowledge.
