NEW ZEALAND WINE EVENING WITH12 FINE NEW ZEALAND WINES AND CURED MEATS AND CHEESES. FRIDAY 31ST MARCH. ONLY £35 PER PERSON
The World Wine Styles tasting will be a relaxed evening of fine wines, in one of the City’s most popular and atmospheric venues, Bedales of Leadenhall. 12 wines will be tasted from 6.30-9.00pm. The tasting will include platters featuring superb cured meats and cheeses, all sourced from trendy Borough Market.
The Family of Twelve is a fraternity of twelve of New Zealand’s most prestigious and enduring artisanal wineries. Founded in 2005, the Family’s vision is to nurture long term relationships with an emphasis on education both at home and in key export markets. This tasting will feature no less than 12 FINE NEW ZEALAND WINES, including the Sauvignon and Pinot Noir wines you would expect, plus others that the Kiwis do so well, like Viognier, Riesling, Cabernet, and Syrah.
- 12 Wines!
- New Zealand’s meteoric rise to fame with varieties like Sauvignon and Pinot Noir
- There’s more to it than Marlborough!: new development and other varieties from regions like Hawke’s Bay and Central Otago
- All accompanied by cheese and cured meats platters from Borough Market to stop you falling off your chair
- As well as any other topics you want to ask about (as long as they are wine-related).
The tasting is sponsored by The Family of Twelve, so there will be a questionnaire to fill out at the end, but that’s all, no ‘hard sell’!
Your presenter Gilbert is a fully qualified WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) tutor, but those of you who have been to any of our other events will know that he is far removed from a ‘wine bore’. You will taste 12 very fine wines, and learn a lot about wine, but in a relaxed and informal way, and have a lot of fun doing it!
